Centric Introduces Its First UK-Based Client—Sportswear Giant, JD Sports Fashion.

—Read our big news.

UK-based JD Sports Fashion has selected Centric 8 PLM to fuel vigorous growth in its private label business.  The sportswear company will use Centric 8 PLM to accelerate collaboration and productivity in its product development process.

JD Sports Fashion is a large and well-regarded sports apparel retailer in the UK and represents a major win for Centric in the UK—and our first in that country.

Why did this leading retailer of sports and casual wear select Centric?  According to IT Director Frank Watts, who led the search, there are many reasons.  Chief among them are Centric’s ease of use, fast implementation, PLM know-how, and apparel and fashion market experience.

“We value the expertise, dynamism and flexibility that Centric displays as a fast-growing company,” says Watts.  “The Centric team understands JD Sports Fashion’s growth, and our need to work with fast-changing products, seasons and timelines.”

And talk about fast! JD Sports plans for full implementation of its 200 users by year-end.  That’s possible, as other clients like Silver Jeans can attest, thanks to Centric’s out-of-the-box functionality.

This news about JD Sports Fashion is just one example of Centric making great strides on plans for European expansion.  In recent months we’ve also signed France’s Kindy, hired former TXT executive Stefano Lena to lead European operations, and added former SAP employee Veronica Perraro to our European team.

Stay tuned, Centric is just getting started!
