Centric Software…and Sheryl Crow (?)

When you think about Silver Jeans, 1921 Jeans and Bootheel Trading Co. by Sheryl Crow, you probably don’t automatically think of Centric. But Centric now is a key part of how those jeans go from concept to your favorite store.

Western Glove Works, the Canadian-based manufacturer of international denim brands – including those mentioned above – has selected Centric to provide its PLM system.

Western Glove Works is already beginning implementation of Centric’s Product Specification, Product Sourcing, Calendar Management and Line Planning modules. This year, the company will deploy Centric 8 to sales staff in Vancouver, Toronto, Los Angeles and New York; design and merchandise staff in Winnipeg and Montreal; and several suppliers in Asia.

The timing is perfect for Western Glove Works, as it is expanding its product lines this year, adding tops, jackets and sweaters to its base denim lines in both its Silver Jeans and Bootheel Trading Co. by Sheryl Crow apparel divisions.

Centric 8 is replacing a one-dimensional system Western Glove Works has said was ineffective in linking different areas of the company. Centric 8’s capability to make sure everyone involved in product development will eliminate the double and triple entry that often occurred, slowing product cycle development time.

For more on how Western Glove Works selected Centric after evaluating at least six other systems, check out the news release.
